To keep your dog warm in the winter it is always a good idea to insulate the dog house. You can use any type of insulation that you like, but the foam insulation is the easiest to use. Just cut out the pieces to fit the walls inside, cover with plywood and your done. The opening to the house will also depend on the size of your dog. There is no right size, just use common sense.
